Blue black hair color question?

My hair is a true black, not a very dark brown or soft black.

If I put a blue black shade over that what should happen? I mean will it show any slight blue??

or just be BLACK, which is already is, it is shiny naturally..but id like the blue edge, a bit..if so..does clairol nice n'easy natural blue black look BLUE Black?? anyone had this experience?
